Encouragements for Hearts Grieving Perinatal Loss (+ Resources!)

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This month holds space for the quiet heartbreak carried by so many. Pregnancy and infant loss are more common than we often speak about, and yet their weight can feel incredibly isolating.

If you’ve walked this path, please know: your grief matters. Your love matters. Take a moment to breathe, to remember, to feel—whatever rises. There is no right way to mourn, and no timeline for healing.

This is such a tender reminder close to my heart, acknowledging the deep grief that comes with losing a baby, as I have two in Heaven and feel the weight of this journey so much. To those of you who have experienced this pain, please know you are not alone. There is support and help available if you want to walk through your story. I see you, and we are here to hold space for your heart.

Grief and love are intertwined. One exists because of the other, and it’s okay to hold both in your heart. You are not alone in this. You are seen. You are held. And even here—amid the sorrow—hope still lives.

Xoxo,

Leanne Konzelman, CEO + Founder

Here are five truths from our hearts to yours. Speak these over yourself today.

♥️ Healing takes time and is not linear. A good day may be followed by a bad day, and that is okay.

♥️ This is not your fault. It is common for moms to take the blame, but remember — you did nothing wrong.

♥️ Give yourself permission to feel everything that comes up. You do not have to bottle your emotions. Feeling can be healing.

♥️ You are not a burden, and you deserve to be supported by those around you. Let them love you in this season without giving anything in return.

♥️ You are not weak for needing to rest, cry, or break down. Strength is found in vulnerability, not in hiding your tears.
