Sarah Dunbar, M.A., LMHCA
There aren’t many places in life where we can be vulnerable, revealing the parts of ourselves that we may not want others to see. However, it is in recognizing, acknowledging, and having compassion for your story that you can begin to unlock something unique and special. I will provide a space where you can sort through your experiences and discover more about yourself. My approach is devoid of judgment, where self-compassion, honesty, and acceptance are prioritized.
I specialize in working with adults who are feeling overwhelmed or disillusioned. Whether you are balancing the challenges of parenting or work, or dealing with difficult life circumstances and relationships, I can help. I provide a unique perspective on human development and family systems using neuroscience and a trauma-informed approach. Additionally, my prior experience working with children and teenagers provides me with unique insight into the struggles that come up in parenting.
I will help you approach your own experiences with curiosity and care while prioritizing self-compassion. This is a safe space to explore your past, present, and future. If you’re ready to understand yourself better, navigate challenges, feel more connected, or create change, you’ve come to the right place.
Outside of the office, I enjoy being a mom to teenagers, laughing with friends, practicing yoga, and exploring new places with my family.
