Embodied - Trauma Group (start date TBD)

The Embodied Trauma group is a group for women who’ve endured trauma in their lives run by Erin Sanchez, MS, LMHCA. This group is an experiential group that is appropriate for individuals needing practice and skills with emotional and bodily regulation due to traumatic experiences. We practice mindfulness, movement, guided imagery, and breath work in the group.

It is a bit different than traditional talk-therapy groups in that we will devote about 2/3 of our time each week to some sort of experiential activity (yoga, movement, mindfulness, breath work, grounding techniques), and leave some time for discussion at the end. This group will be quite a bit of movement during some weeks (yoga or other mindful movement), with each week mainly sitting on the floor (our space provides bolsters to sit on).

In order to begin the group, I will need to meet with you at my Kirkland office individually to do an intake which is a normal initial session (initial practice documents and initial session to get to know your history and story), and then we will meet in Bala Yoga Kirkland’s beautiful Studio B space for our weekly group meetings.

The cost for the group is $60 per week (initial intake session is charged my regular rate of $120).

***PLEASE NOTE*** The start date for the event is still being decided. If you’re interested, please contact me and include what days and times work best for you! Depending on the availability of other interested individuals, I hope to start the group within the next few weeks/month. Feel free to ask any questions you have, and I hope to hear from you soon!***
