Kelly Massey, LICSW
I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker having worked in a variety of settings. My journey began in Phoenix, Arizona serving children and families facing the challenges of separation with the hope of reunification. I have been grateful for my time working inpatient with adults struggling with addictions in middle Tennessee. For nearly the last four years, I have worked with older adults with chronic mental health care needs in Seattle. A deep desire of mine is to help bring hope and healing to those feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and fearful.
My therapy approach integrates various modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally-focused therapy, and Somatic experiencing. I believe each individual brings unique strengths while navigating recovery. We will explore together relationship and family dynamics through the lens of attachment and the importance of connection with self and others. As hard as relationships often are, lasting healing can only be found through relationships. I am a trauma-informed therapist, who acknowledges the impact of trauma on both the body and brain. I also have training for the treatment of anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Obsessive-compulsive disorder.
I would be honored to hear your story, provide support, and help give opportunity for you to experience wholeness in life and relationships.
When not working, you can find me hiking, reading, gardening, and laughing with my family.
