Victoria Barrett, M.A., LMHC
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am passionate to collaborate with you as we journey together toward a life of greater healing, joy and abundance. It is my privileged to hear your story, dreams and struggles. Together in therapy, my hope is for us to identify what you may need to live life to the fullest, process why you may feel stuck and together navigate complex life difficulties. My general practice includes working with children, teens, adults and families. I specialize in trauma, adjustment disorders, attachment issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues and family of origin struggles. I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ARC (affect, regulation, competency), and enjoy drawing from trainings focused on expressive, creative therapies catered toward youth and adults.
Shaped by an experience of serving in an Orphanage in South America, I am especially passionate to provide excellent clinical care to adolescents, adults and families struggling to overcome difficult relationship and behavior dynamics sourced in trauma, mood disorders and family of origin issues. My experience includes serving as a Foster Care Counselor to families with children who have severe mental health needs and working at Vanderbilt Medical Center as a School Based Therapist. Currently, I additionally enjoy working part time at Seattle Children’s Emergency Department as Mental Health Evaluator and as a therapist at a local partial hospitalization agency specializing in mood and anxiety issues for adults.
When not providing therapy, I seek adventure in the great outdoors, in cooking, in traveling and in discovering good live music.
